Who Am I?

Ha! What do you want to know? And why? I'm a Filipino, married to a Filipina that I love with all my heart and soul and mind and spirit. We are sweethearts since 5th Grade. We have 3 children that we adore more than anything in all the world, and we want to do the best we possibly can to give them a good future. My wife and I were both born in Sta. Rosa, and this is where we still live. Why should we ever want to live anywhere else if we can help to make Sta. Rosa the best place to live in all the world? It does need help, all the help you can give it, because there will always be occasional greedy corrupt politicians like City Vice Mayor Manoy Alipon who will abuse public office to make money for themselves and ruin Santa Rosa for everyone else if we allow them to. But at election time we are not under their control. They are under ours. Internet access enables us all to communicate indvidually and privately to find out what's really going on in Malacañang and City Hall. We can then remove corrupt politicians simply by voting for their opponents.

Another Of My Passions....

Computers were my passion at school and university, so I am overjoyed that internet access is available to everyone in the Philippines. Those who can afford it have their own computers at home, and those who can't afford to have their own can for a few pesos an hour use computers in nearby internet cafés. If you're a parent and worry that your kids go to internet cafés to play games, don't knock it - be proud of them! Computer games, standalone and online both, are a form of education. They develop fast mental and physical reflexes. They develop fast logical and creative thinking in great depth. This is exactly what they need because the future will be dominated by technology. Games are the driving force behind its progress.

....And My Passions Lead To Patriotism

My passion for computers and the internet also extends to other things. One is that they make information from all over the world available free to everyone in the Philippines. There is no charge to search with Google or Yahoo, because their revenues come from advertising and other sources. There is no charge to network with your family, friends, colleagues or customers on websites like Facebook, Friendster, Twitter or YouTube because their revenues also come from other sources. I fervently believe that personal computers and the internet are a Godsend to Third World countries like ours. They provide us with a route to freedom, democracy, prosperity and world recognition that nothing else can give us so cheaply.
